So I’m just going to come right out and say it: “Heart” is the best Brittana episode of all time.

And not just because of the kisses.

“Heart” is the best Brittana episode of all time because it actually acknowledges Brittana’s development, both as individuals and as a couple. It gives our girls a fully fleshed-out storyline and treats their characters with respect, using them both to their best effects.

It keeps Brittany whimsical, disdainful of conflict, funny, sweet, and besotted with Santana. It keeps Santana justice-seeking, snarky, bashful when it comes to romance, and head-over-heels in love with Brittany. It allows both Santana and Brittany to have their voices. It also allows them to show real reactions to performances and to interact with other characters in a meaningful way.

It also answers some questions about the Brittana relationship.

I’m not gonna lie, guys: This analysis is hard to write because I basically cannot stop flailing about the sheer perfection of my OTP.

But we soldier on, right?

More feelings than I have ever felt before under the cut, friends.
